German MKb42 pouch, « JWa 44 »
Description
A very rare and late MKb42 produced assault rifle ammo pouch. Right side example. Exhibits features that would become the standard amongst the majority of pouches produced later on during the war. Constructed from tan canvas with the red stripe. Grey web straps that are sewn to each compartment. Compartment covers are nicely lined with tan ersatz material « Presstoff ». Stamped ink markings along the two back web loops are present, including assault rifle designation « MKb42 », makers code and the date « JWa 44». Overall condition of the pouch is excellent with some staining. A very rare and scarce pouch.
