A rare and rather obscure German mortar field plotting set in green web canvas. Period factory construction from typical green heavy canvas material. Featuring a complete and rare all green web carrying strap. Bright brown leather closure strap is complete and fully functional. Interior contents remain complete and features a wooden measuring stick with numbers. Painted in black on a white background. These would have been used in the field to accurately measure distances for the position of mortars and artillery. Overall in very nice slightly used condition. Still retains a clear « Waffenamt » stamp. Scare and desirable piece of German field gear.
