Description
German Paratrooper splinter camouflage clip-on helmet cover. One of the rarest covers possible to find. Helmet cover is in great condition with vibrant colors and showing some modest wear, small holes and retaining its majority of clips. Cover was definitely field combat used, showing some darker spots and small holes. Constructed of Luftwaffe splinter camouflage panels, made of a thiner canvas material. Main foliage band is present and factory sewn around the helmet. Cross strap on the top of the helmet, made of thinner tan width cloth is also present and untouched. Main band comes together in the back and is sewn into the sections seem. The photos are made showing it on a size 68 helmet. The inside of the cover is in great condition, maker markings, location and date of manufacture are all present which is a known maker of this type seen on the handful of surviving examples. An extremely attractive example, almost always missing from the top paratrooper and helmet collections around the world. Extremely Rare !
