German portable field radio transceiver set, « Feldfu.b1 »
Description
A complete German portable field radio transceiver set « FELDFUNKSPRECHER B ». The set consists of main unit manufactured by the « STARU » firm. Made from a very light weight bakelite material and retaining all its markings. The bakelite has no cracks and is in excellent condition. The set retains all its original interior straps, cables, and very rare complete flexible antenna. The set is marked « ARK » for possible use in arctic or extreme cold environments such as the Russian Front. Data plate is present with its serial number and year of manufacture « 1944 ». The set retains its very rare backpack support strap which mounts directly on the transceiver to provide support on the wearer's back. It is made from a late war canvas web material as seen on tropical service belts and fitting with leather securing straps and mounting brackets. All are complete and in excellent untouched condition. The radios top mounting hooks and carry handle are present and in excellent shape. Remote control cable for volume and tunning is present and would allow the operator to not remove the radio from his back. This is also marked « ARK » and with the « FEIND HÖRT MIT! » in red lettering. An extremely rare set and highly desirable « FELDFU. B1 » in this condition.
