German special issue blackout reading light, « cnn41 »
Description
Very nice and rare early-war special issue blackout reading light, complete set and in excellent condition. These would have been issued to the majority of German forces. Commonly used by the Luftwaffe and front line armored troops. Light is adjustable from white to red. Cord is complete and in pliable condition and screwed into the bakelite container of the battery housing. Headband is a larger comfortable type. Cord is passed through and held in place so its not in front in the wearers face. The bakelite light is maker marked « ROKA» and dated « 1938 ». Included in the group is the rarely seen original green fabric storage bag. The bag is nicely blue ink stamped with he maker’s code and the date « cnn41 ». Desirable example, will give an extra touch to a mannequin.
