German tan/water camouflage pattern smock, « first pattern »
Description
A period German Heer/Luftwaffe issued field smock in tan/water camouflage pattern. Textbook factory manufactured example. Constructed from two types of tan/water pattern linen-rayon blend material for strength. A more early mid-war produced example in year of production and a model produced without a hood. The smock retains both original waist and neck drawstring still intact. Ink stamped with the size « II » and « RBNr 0/0335/0080 » on the interior pocket flap. Smock is reversible to white. It retains excellent rich, vivid and contrasting colors. No rips, tears or stains present. Interesting now is the light green thread used for the smocks drawstring eyelets. Paper pressed buttons are intact, complete and factory sewn. Overall a choice mint unissued example that cannot be upgraded. Perfect example.
