German tropical issue pith helmet, « first pattern »
Description
A very nice German tropical Heer issued pith helmet. Factory made example. Constructed from the more desirable tan khaki linen material and featuring the correct six panel design. Green leather full perimeter trim is present. Retains both its factory applied shields on each side. Leather chinstrap is complete and fully intact. The reverse of the sweatband is ink stamped with the makers details « CLEMENS WAGNER » and the size « 56 ». In very good worn condition. It comes with a pair of German general purpose goggles.
