German two-tone camouflage gas mask canister, « named »
Description
A superb German gas mask canister that has been camouflaged in two-tone spray finish. In overall untouched and as found condition. Retaining strong and vivid colors. Several scuffs, scraps and nicks are present but the paint still rates in at over 90%. The colors of tan and green over the factory paint is present and nicely visible in the detailed photos below. The carrying straps are present. The soldier's rank and name are written in grease pencil over the camouflage. The rank and name of the former owner are present under the camouflage finish « Uff. Brückner ». These are getting very difficult to find and are highly desirable in today's collectors market.
