Description
An early German Heer M36 cavalry « Oberfeldwebel » combat service tunic. Desirable early M36 combat service tunic pipped in yellow for cavalry to a member ranked for « Oberfeldwebel ». Tunic is factory constructed from a nice early softer feldgrau colored wool. Wool nape of the tunics exterior remains in very nice lightly used condition. Trades badge is still nicely hand applied on the lower right arm. Dark green wool collar is complete with period « NCO » tress. Litzen collar tabs remain intact and machine straight stitched. Shoulder boards are the sewn-in and correct type for this style of tunic. Piped in yellow, with « NCO » tress and two aluminum pips for the rank. Breast eagle is hand applied and back in dark green wool. Buttons are all present and complete. Badge loops are present along the upper pockets. Interior is nicely lined in a classic grey ribbed linen lining. Interior is ink stamped clearly with the size and depot/date of issue « E.39 ». A bolt number of the material is also present which is a nice extra feature. One of the harder and more desirable examples that would have seen service in the early campaigns of the war. Choice.
