Heer NCO’s panzer wrapper, « 1941»
Description
A superb early Heer Panzer wrap for a non-commissioned officer aspiring to become an officer, of outstanding quality construction. It retains a removable matching pair of NCO shoulder straps in the rank of « Unteroffizier » featuring the Panzerjäger cyphers and number 36. Machine stitched collar tabs with skulls tightly affixed, the right-hand tab shows two small moth nips which have been carefully restored (see photos). The Panzer BeVo breast eagle is factory-applied by machine in the distinctive zig-zag stitch, a detail rarely encountered. All buttons are present. An East Front Medal ribbon is mounted through the buttonhole. Two sets of award loops are present on the left breast. The tunic remains in excellent overall condition, showing only light wear. The interior is lined in grey cotton and bears size, date « F.41 » and manufacturer’s markings, although these are now difficult to discern. A very desirable mannequin-size example.
