Description

A superb M1940 Heer/Waffen-SS combat helmet. The helmet is a late-war « Q66 », lot number is not readable, both marked along the back center skirt. The helmets exterior is near mint and retaining over 98% of the late-war dark blue paint. It has some handling marks to include slight abrasions scattered around the exterior. No decals present. All split pins present, fully painted and tightly secured. The helmets interior is in excellent condition and has never been issued remaining completely untouched and undisturbed. It has a really nice light tan leather liner with its original drawstring still present. Ink stamped along the tip of the leather tongue with the size « 59 ». Chinstrap is original to the helmet and fully intact, nicely marked and dated « 0/1235/0007 44 ». Really nice late-war example in overall excellent condition.
