Description
A period Luftwaffe fliegerbluse for a Fallschirmjäger « Gefreiter ». Standard late-war quality factory manufactured example. Featuring original factory machine zig-zag stitched breast eagle in a tight pattern. Fliegerbluse retains hand applied collar tabs with two gulls on each. Period applied early style yellow heavy cord piping around the entire collar is present and tightly secured. The fliegerbluse comes with a pair of enlisted man's mid-war quality shoulder straps pipped in a bright yellow. The fliegerbluse features a hand applied wool backed paratrooper jump badge along the wearer's bottom left side. « EKII » ribbon is present and nicely secured. Single chevron is also mounted on the left arm. All buttons are present to include black composite buttons along the front and blue pebble buttons on the shoulder straps and pocket. The interior is lined with three types of rayon lining. Ink stamped along the wearer's left interior pocket with the « RBNr. 0/0550/0134 » and along with the size markings. A very nice and very desirable example. This fliegerbluse would display nicely on a mannequin.
