Late-war Luftwaffe issued turtle-neck sweater

A superb and rare late-war German special Luftwaffe issued turtle-neck sweater. One of the rarest examples of a period manufactured blue-purple hue wool sweater. This sweater features the desirable turtle neck that is commonly seen being worn by frontline troops. The sweater is in very nice and gently used condition. Some small period repairs are present. The typical weave is present with the different sections sewn together and can be seen in the photos below. The size tag is sewn along the back collar « 2 », a modern day medium. Most of these were used quickly following the war's end. A highly desirable example because of its color and style. Excellent for the use in a Luftwaffe combat mannequin display and almost never encountered!
