Luftwaffe officers visor cap, « EREL »
Description
A very nice mid-war Luftwaffe officers visor cap. In overall excellent condition. Blue wool ribbed body in excellent condition showing almost no wear, moth nips or stains. Complete and fully intact silver officers bullion. Eagle, cockade and chinstrap are present and in very good condition. Interior is lined in a golden yellow artificial silk material. Both sweatshield and sweatband are marked with the maker « EREL ». The reverse of the sweatband is stamped with the date « 22. MAI 1942 » and the size « 57 », but barely visible. Some light wear and discoloration on the sweatband and slightly opened on the front. A nice piece of headgear.
