A period factory produced tropical Luftwaffe issued combat belt buckle. Steel construction and factory painted in a green color. Features the rare green web tab. Factory stitching is in green thread is tightly attached. Outlined in the classic grey thread to prevent fraying. Maker marked « H.A. 42 » for « H.Arld - Nürnberg ». The buckle is in near mint unissued condition with over 95% of its finish. This buckle is part of a group of 6 Luftwaffe tropical belt buckles from a recent US Veterans estate. A very desirable and choice buckle.
