M35 factory reissue Heer single decal combat helmet, « Q66 »
Description
A choice M1935 factory reissue German Heer single decal combat helmet. The helmet is a « Q66 » with a lot number of « 20733 » along the back skirt. The helmet's exterior retains over 95% of the factory matte feldgrau grey paint. Heer decal is nicely painted around and rates in at over 99%. The Tri-color shield is visible underneath the paint. The helmet exhibits a nice untouched look with the lightest of storage wear to include small scuffs and scrapes. Split pins are intact, tightly secured and retain their finish. The helmet's interior remains in original as found and untouched condition. Complete and intact. Leather is nicely ink stamped « 59 » for size with some slight wear. Drawstring is complete. The chinstrap is an early type and also complete. Maker marked and dated « RAHM & KAMPMANN WUPPERTAL 1938 » along the tip. Early square and proper aluminum liner and band are present and still tightly attached. The liner band is nicely overpainted in the same feldgrau grey paint as the helmet's interior. Overall a choice and top shelf mid-war configuration of a classic German wartime combat helmet.
