Description
A superb classic M1935 Heer three-tone « Normandy » spray camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is a large size « ET68 » with a lot number of « 4738 ». The helmet's exterior features a matte - flat three-tone classic spray applied tan, green and brick brown « Normandy » camouflage finish. Slightly visible are the covered Heer decal. Split pins all intact, secured and retain their great camouflage finish. Some combat wear to include oxidation, light scuffs and rim wear. Interior is untouched and in its natural state. Complete with an early leather liner. Dark to light brown color. Ink stamped for size « 60 ». Drawstring complete and tied together. The helmet's leather chinstrap is complete and original to the helmet. It shows nice period wear and thinning over the years of service. A nice feature. Some light and even oxidation around the skirt is also evident from prolonged storage. Early square loop aluminum liner is intact and shows some light accumulation over the decades. A rare and highly desirable early « Normandy » camouflage combat helmet. Choice !
