Description

A superb M1935 Heer sawdust camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET64 » with a lot number of « 4024 ». The helmet's exterior features a nice dark feldgrau semi-matte camouflage paint application over a tan coating mixed with large sawdust flakes. The helmet shows nice combat wear and use. Several areas of paint loss show the factory apple green finish underneath. Although now covered evidence of crazing and cracking can be seen over the decals. Split pins are complete, attached to the helmet and retain their partial camouflage finish. The helmet's interior is complete. Nicely painted around the skirt in the same feldgrau paint. Leather liner remains in very nice condition. Complete with drawstring and an early period shortened chinstrap with aluminum buckle. Early square loop liner is present and shows light paint transfer when the skirt was painted. Dust and natural accumulation is present. Overall a very nice and solid early reissue German camouflage helmet with a great combat look.
