M35 Heer single decal combat helmet, « EF64 »
Description
A M1935 Heer single decal German combat helmet in 1940 regulations. The helmet is an « EF64 » with a non-visible light stamped lot number. A unique and rarer variant helmet which is scarce and not so often encountered. The helmet's exterior is a typical later M1935 feldgrau color. It shows nice toning and some light oxidation from prolonged storage. Paint rates at 95% and is perfect with a matte in feel texture. Several areas of factory paint runs can be seen in the detailed photos below. The Heer decal by Pocher is nicely applied on the helmet and rates in at 97%. Some nice toning and details present due to the varnish. Split pins remain in place and tightly secured to the helmet. The helmet's interior remains untouched and undisturbed. Leather is slightly used and evidence of wear is present. It is stamped ink black ink « 56 » for size. Inscribed in black grease pencil with the initial « E.K. » along the skirt. Chinstrap present and slightly shortened along the tip. A very scarce and rather rare configuration to find that would be an excellent addition to any German combat helmet collector.
