M35 Heer single decal combat helmet, « ET64 / former whitewash »
Description
A nice M1935 Heer single decal German combat helmet with remnants of former whitewash finish. Helmet is an « ET64 » with a lot number of « 4738 ». The helmet's exterior remains untouched and in as found condition. Feldgrau factory applied paint finish rates at 85% it retains a matte finish. Evidence of whitewash for winter combat use can be seen around the air vents and intact yet tightly secured split pins. Wear to include typical scuffs, scrapes and dome wear. Heer decal rates at approximately 90% with some damages in several areas. Giving the helmet a very nice combat look. The helmet's interior is as to be expected and matches the untouched and undisturbed look of the exterior. A well used yet complete liner. Leather shows staining and use yet remains in very nice condition. Some fraying along the edges and faintly ink stamped for size along the tip of the leather « 56 ». Complete with full drawstring present. Leather chinstrap is present, complete and in worn condition. It is maker marked and dated « O. REICHEL LENGEFELD 1940 ». Dome stamp is also present and slightly visible. Aluminum liner band is untouched and secured tightly. Split pins are intact and missing two washers. Named along the back skirt in typical white paint to the former owner « W. PESCHKE ». A nice and difficult to find untouched former whitewash winter Heer combat helmet that shows a great combat look.
