M35 Heer single decal sawdust textured camouflage combat helmet, « EF64 »
Description
M1935 Heer German combat helmet that has been camouflaged in a textured green finish. The helmet is a « EF64 » with the lot number « 20970 ». The helmet's exterior retains 95% of a period medium sawdust based green combat finish that is applied by hand. Normal to light amounts of scuffs and scraps. Split pins are intact and retain the vast majority of the same textured finish, except the rear one that has ben replaced as it is missing the camouflage finish. The Heer decal has nicely been painted around, rates over 80% and exhibits nice toning and crazing. The helmet's interior is in overall very good condition and retains its original liner system. The leather liner is in excellent condition, supple and retains a light brown color. The liner is ink stamped « 56 » for size along one of the tongue tips. Original drawstring and leather chinstrap are present, this one is nicely maker marked. A nice example of a sawdust textured German combat helmet with a very pleasing and attractive look.
