M35 Heer Three Tone Normandy Camouflage Combat Helmet, « EF64 »
Description
An early M1935 Heer former single decal three-tone « NORMANDY » spray camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is an « EF64 » with a lot number of « 21737 ». The helmets exterior features a very subtle yet affective three tone camouflage spray finish. It comprises of the three basic colors tan, green and brick red. The camouflage paint rates in at approximately 98% and retains its original and desired matte look and feel. Light scuffs, scraps and some very light paint splatter is present. The split pins are all present, securely mounted and retain their camouflage finish as well. Evidence of a Heer decal is present on the wearer's left side. The helmets interior remains untouched and undisturbed. Some dust and oxidation are present around the helmets original liner band. The leather liner is nicely aged with some darker toned leather. Not oiled but has some random white paint splatters from somewhere along its life in storage. Retains its original drawstring and faintly yet readable in ink with « 56 » for size. The helmet retains its original and complete chinstrap but its unmarked. It is also nicely initialed along the rear with « M.S » in pencil. Overall a very nice and early M35 three tone camouflage spray combat helmet that is difficult to find in todays market.
