Description

An exceptional M1935 Heer three-tone Normandy sawdust textured camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is an « SE60 » with a lot number of « 4035 ». The helmet's exterior features a very thick sawdust textured camouflage finish. Originally the helmet was camouflaged with blue paint and sawdust then later followed by its camouflage application. The camouflage colors consist of tan, brick brown and green. The camouflage paints rates in at approximately 97% and retains its original matte look and rough feel. Light scuffs, scraps and paint loss around the helmet and rim area are present. The split pins are complete, tightly attached to the helmet and retain part of their camouflage finish. The helmet's interior is in overall very good condition. Early and correct liner is present and features the squared chinstrap retaining brackets. Oxidation and some debris present around the perimeter. Leather liner is supple, ink stamped with size « 53 », drawstring is absent. Chinstrap is complete and in good shape, marked with the « RBNr ». Numbered in white paint along the skirt to « 106D ». This is truly a top shelf Normandy camouflage combat helmet. Choice.
