M35 Heer three-tone spray camouflage combat helmet with battle damage
Description
Very nice M1935 Heer three-tone spray camouflage combat helmet with battle damage. Helmet is an « Q66 » with a lot number « 516 ». The helmet has and retains over 90% of a nicely applied camouflage spray finish in three colors. They include tan, brick red, and green identical to the colors commonly found on camouflage vehicles of the period. Vivid colors and matte in appearance with battle damages from the entry of bullet or fragments along the back. Entry through the steel shell and tearing of the leather liner is present. One of the ear/air vents has been knocked out possibly due to the impact. Typical cuffs and scraps from combat use are evenly spread throughout the helmet. Interior of the helmet is complete and in its original undisturbed sate. Early apple green factory paint is almost all present. Nicely named along the back skirt in white toned hand paint to « PATZEL ». Leather liner is used but complete and still supple. Some minor flaking in a few areas. Early square chinstrap buckle liner is undisturbed with some debris accumulation in-between. Chinstrap is complete with only a small tip section missing. The dome of the helmet has graze marks and a deep scratch from the bullets entry. Overall a really nice and choice camouflage helmet with battle damage.
