Description

A choice M1935 Kriegsmarine « Küstenartillerie » two-tone camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET66 » with a lot number of « 3648 ». The exterior features two distinct colors associated with the Coastal Artillery units all along the « Atlantic Wall ». A light lime green and dark orange color. The helmet was first painted with a mixture of sand and the orange tan base coat. Later a secondary camouflage application of the seam green by brush was added. In the detailed photos below you can clearly see this. A normal amount of scuffs and scrapes are present. Overall covering over 90% of the helmet's surface. The two decals are present under the camouflage finish. The interior remains untouched and in as found condition.  Apple green factory paint along the interior is present. Complete darker brown slightly pliable leather intact. Separated along the back yet retains its drawstring. Chinstrap is original to the helmet, maker marked, dated « Carl Tesch, Berlin, 1938 » and interestingly « KM » stamped. A harder to find, attractive and true Coastal Artillery combat helmet.
