M35 Luftwaffe heavy sand textured camouflage helmet, named « Uffz. KIELMANN »
Description
Superb M1935 Luftwaffe heavy textured sand camouflage helmet. The helmet is an « ET64 » with the lot number « 3352 ». Helmet has had a beautiful application of dark blue paint with the addition of sand mixed in. The former impression of a rubber band can be seen. Paint and camouflage rates in at 90%. Shows moderate wear with some areas of paint loose. Early production with early aluminium liner band, the liner leather is in very good supple condition, it still retains its original drawstring. The reverse of the leather is ink stamped with the unit marking and the date « 1937 », a name tag is also applied « KIELMANN ». The soldier has painted the skirt with his rank, name, and all the Feldpost numbers which he has been assigned during the war, making it a unique helmet. The helmet is published in the book « Tarfarben Volume 1 » by Oliver Lock, Military Mode Publishing. Very nice unique helmet !
