Description

A choice M35 Luftwaffe three-tone brush camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is a « SE64 » with a lot number of « 4283 ». The helmet’s exterior features a very unique hand brush painted camouflage in three-tone to include the colors of tan, light green and dark green. Slightly resembling a turtle pattern. Former evidence of chicken wire is present by impressions to the camouflage. Very nice and attractive patine and natural age showing. Minor crazing to the paint is present. The helmet does show combat use with some standard scuffs and scrapes yet remaining very vivid and contrasting. Split-pins complete, tightly secured and retain their camouflage paint as well. The helmet's interior is rather complete. Only the drawstring is absent. Leather liner still retains a nice supple feel. Natural brown leather present. Some minor dust and debris accumulation around the liner band. The helmet's chinstrap is complete, maker marked and dated « G SCHIELE LOBURG 1940 ». Named along the back skirt to the former owner « Dütsch ». A harder to find and very desirable Luftwaffe camouflage combat helmet with a rather unique finish. Selected Offering.
