M38 German paratrooper battle damaged single decal helmet, « ET68 »
Description
Very nice and interesting M1938 German paratrooper « Fallschirmjäger » battle damaged single decal combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET68 » with a lot number « 36 ». The exterior of the helmet retains over 95% of its regional factory applied dark green paint finish in matte state. The helmet shows some light combat wear, proper edge rim wear and some light oxidation along the top dome. The Luftwaffe decal is nearly 97% complete. Showing nice toning, ageing and some light scuffs marks probably from storage. All four late war steel bolts are complete and highly attached. They all exhibit nice and natural ageing being undisturbed and untouched. The back left bolt has received shrapnel damage and entering the helmet itself bending the late-war sink liner band. The helmets interior is complete and untouched. Liner is fully present with only two small areas of damage. Still somewhat supple and nicely maker marked and size fully readable. The chinstraps are in excellent condition, original to the helmet and supple. They show matching use to the overall condition of the helmet itself. Bolts are complete and undisturbed. A choice original untouched Fallschirmjäger helmet with battle damage.
