M38 German paratrooper double decal Rgt. 6 camouflage combat helmet, « ET71 »
Description
A camouflage M1938 German Luftwaffe « Fallschirmjäger » paratrooper combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET71 » with a lot number of « 4461 ». The helmet comes from an old French collection and was found in the 80s in the department of Manche in Normandy, France. Exterior retains the classic two-tone green and tan camouflage with the mixture of sawdust that covers roughly 65% of the helmet. Both decals can be seen underneath the camouflage coating. Combat wear, abrasions and paint loss can be seen. Spanner bolts are tight and retain some of their camouflage finish. Interior is complete. Leather liner is in very nice condition. Named along the front to « Wolter Feldi. ». Classic blue grey leather chin straps are present and reinforced with extra stitching along the right side. A very nice and overall true combat used example that was worn by members of Regiment 6 in the « Normandy Campaign ».
