M38 German paratrooper Fallschirmjäger combat helmet, « ckl68 »
Description
A nice M38 German paratrooper « Fallschirmjäger » helmet, late-war construction. The helmet is a « ckl68 » with a lot number of « 4226 ». Exterior features a factory dark feldgrau green paint finish. Minor scuffs and scrapes present along with some areas of bumps and dents along the top dome. Paint rates nicely well over 90%. Mid-war aluminum slotted bolts are all present. Interior retains the helmet's leather liner system. Used but in good overall condition. Properly ink stamped with the maker and size « 68 ». Probably a « KIA » souvenired helmet with no chinstraps remain aside from a single cut section along the wearer's right side. Overall a very nice representative mid-war example of a German paratrooper's helmet.
