Description
A desirable M40 Heer geometric three-tone camouflage combat helmet. The maker and the lot number are not readable. The helmet's exterior features a desirable hand brush painted geometric camouflage scheme in the classic three-tone colors. Nice combat used and wear present. This includes some scuffs, scraps and chips to the paint that is covering over 97% of the surface. In the detailed photos below the brush strokes are clearly visible. Split pins intact and secured to the helmet while retaining also their camouflage finish. The helmet's interior matches the exterior. Leather liner is well lived in showing nice wear, soiling but remains complete. Oxidation along the back from improper storage slightly present, the skirt has been varnished by the old collector for preservation (could be removed). Drawstring is present and retains its complete chinstrap. One of the harder and more desirable camouflage finishes to find on a combat helmet. Excellent example.
