Description

A classic M1940 Heer single decal combat helmet with issued leather carrier strap. The helmet is a « SE66 » with a lot number of « 21979 ». The helmet's exterior is in near mint condition. Retains well over 98% of its semi-rough factory dark feldgrau finish. Split pins are mint, tightly attached and complete. Heer decal is present and rates in at over 85% aside from the swastika scratched off. Period factory made and issued leather carrier strap is present on the helmet. Leather remains in very good condition. Early and correct aluminum hardware is present and fully functional. Stitching tight and complete. Marked with number « 56 ». The helmet's interior is nearly mint unissued. Leather is in excellent shape and complete with a drawstring. Ink stamped « 59 » for size. The leather chinstrap is also present and slightly period cut along the tip. Overall a very nice German Heer combat helmet set.
