Description
Stellar M1940 Heer three tone spray camouflage helmet. The colors are those typically used in Normandy in 1944. The helmet is an « Q62 » with lot number « DN105 ». The exterior of the helmet retains a very attractive spray camouflage. In three colors to include a matte tan, semi-glass green and red brick. The camouflage paints finish rates in at approximately 97% and have a nice untouched appearance. Light scuffs, scraps and paint loss. Helmet has probably been worn for a short period of time on the field. Evidence of a Heer decal can be seen on the wearer's left side. Some nice splatter from the paint can be seen in the detailed photos provided below. Split pins, intact, secured tightly and retain their camouflage paint finish. The helmet's interior is in very good condition. The leather liner retains its drawstring. Chinstrap is in excellent condition, maker marked and dated « R. EHRHARDT POESSNECK 1940 » . A great top shelf camouflage helmet and one of the most striking three-tone M1940 combat helmets we have seen.
