M40 Luftwaffe chicken wire single decal helmet
Description
Very nice M1940 Luftwaffe single decal combat helmet with a period application of chicken wire. The helmet is an « SE66 » with the lot number « 31492 ». The helmets exterior is in untouched condition and in its original state. Featuring factory applied blue-grey paint that covers over 90% of the surface. The Luftwaffe decal rates in at 95%. The helmet received a period application of full basket chicken wire. The interior has unfortunately suffered from poor storage and the leather is damaged and weakened. The original leather chinstrap is present, it is marked with the full RBNr « 0/0750/0100 ». A superb helmet with a great combat look. It was recovered several years ago from a house in the city of Liège in Belgium.
