Description
A classic attic found M1940 Luftwaffe single decal combat helmet. The helmet is nice size « Q66 » with a lot number of « N223 ». The helmet's exterior is in good condition. It shows a nice coating of improper storage conditions over the decades with slight oxidation/rust present. The helmet's actual factory paint remains intact and over 99% present. Split pins are tightly secured and retain their factory finish. Minimal scuffs or scrapes present. Luftwaffe decal is present, nicely toned in a dark yellow color and rates nicely at 98%. The interior of the helmet matches the exterior. Same light oxidation to the paint is present. The pigskin leather liner has fared very well and remains intact, slightly stiff but yet still flexible. Drawstring intact. Nicely ink stamped for size « 59 ». Overall a really nice one-look M40 Luftwaffe single decal combat helmet that is fresh to the market. Only recently found and never before in a collection.
