Description

A nice and rare M1940 Waffen-SS single decal combat helmet with overpaint. The helmet is a « Q68 » with a lot number of « T2843 ». The helmet’s exterior features a nice factory reissue feldgrau paint finish. Minor scuffs and scrapes present overall on the exterior. In the detailed photos below the outline of the decal on the wearer’s right side can clearly be seen. Split-pins intact and tight attached. The interior is rather near mint condition. Choice leather liner present, blue ink stamped with the size « 60 » . Complete with drawstring and chinstrap. Chinstrap has been period shortened. Dust and some accumulation is present around the liner band. Named along the back skirt with the former owner’s last name. A hard to find Waffen-SS combat helmet worthy of further research in excellent condition.
