M42 German Heer / Waffen-SS combat helmet, « ckl66 »
Description
A choice M1942 German late war combat helmet. The helmet is a late « ckl66 » with a lot number of « 3548 ». The helmet's exterior is in excellent condition with some light scuffs and storage marks present. The factory paint otherwise remains matte to the feel and its feldgrau color is still nicely present. Split pins intact and tightly secured. The paint rates over 98%. The helmet's interior matches the exterior, probably never worn. The leather liner is perfect and size marked « 59 », retaining its original drawstring. It comes with a late war leather chinstrap, marked with the RBNr « 0/0750/0100 ». Clear and nicely intact dome stamp is still present. A rather nice untouched and desirable example of a late war German combat helmet.
