Description

Very nice M42 green sand textured camouflage combat helmet. An untouched example with a unique camouflage scheme and in overall excellent condition. The exterior of the helmet retains all its period applied camouflage with some minor scuffs and marks. The camouflage paint has been applied on the entire helmet with a brush, the paint was mixed with sand. The maker as well as the lot number are barely visible. The pigskin leather is in very good overall condition and still supple, the original drawstring and the unmarked leather chinstrap are present. The leather is stamped with the size « 57 ». Overall a very attractive and unique helmet that can be attributed to a coastal artillery unit.
