M42 Heer three-tone camouflage chicken wire helmet
Description
Stunning and rare M1942 Heer three-tone half basket camouflage chicken wire helmet. This helmet has had the full wire applied before being brush painted in tan, green and red brown paint over the entire surface. Paint rates in the high 95% range, vivid and contrasting colors, what you want to see in these. All through the entire helmet you can clearly see in multiple spots where the wire has been covered and the impression of the wire can be seen in the paint. This helmet has first received a coat of heavy textured paint before the three-tone camouflage application to it. The chicken wire is attached to the helmet with an electric cable, camouflage paint is also present on it. Liner is original to the helmet and has never been played with, it is in as found condition, never beeb cleaned. It retains its original drawstring and leather chinstrap. Dome stamp is present as well. This helmet was found a few years ago at a flea market in Normandy. It is truly a unique chicken wire helmet.
