M42 Heer / Waffen-SS combat helmet, « untouched »
Description
A M1942 Heer / Waffen-SS true late-war German combat helmet. The helmet is « ckl66 » with a lot number of « 3683 ». The helmet is totally untouched, as found condition. Exterior retains over 80% of its feldgrau factory paint. Split pins are intact, untouched and still tightly fastened to the helmet. Some minor oxidation along the top is present. Interior remains untouched and undisturbed. Complete with a fairly nice light tan leather liner. Drawstring intact and complete. Ink stamped « 58 » for size along one of the tongues. Also named on one tongue. Chinstrap remains complete and marked with RBNr. A rather simple yet difficult to find late-war German combat helmet that remains in untouched and as-found condition.
