Description
M1942 Luftwaffe single decal combat helmet. The helmet is a late « NS66 » with a lot number of « 3266 ». Exterior is in very nice condition retaining over 95% of its factory applied blue semi-rough paint finish. The decal is typical for a hastily applied and retaining a still a high content remaining of over 96%. Slightly toned with some light surface scratches. Split pins intact, properly secured and retaining their paint finish as well. The exterior remains dusty from prolonged storage over the years. Normal scuffs and scraps are present as well. Interior is untouched and in rather near mint condition. The rare and desirable pig skin leather liner is crisp light tan in color, supple in feel, ink stamped for size « 58 » and retains its drawstring. Dome stamp is present. Overall a near mint unissued condition single decal Luftwaffe combat helmet from a more obscure late-war helmet maker.
