Description

A superb M1942 two-tone spray camouflage Luftwaffe combat helmet. The helmet is an « ET66 » with a lot number of « 2531 ». Exterior retains the majority of a spray application in two-tone camouflage finish of dark green and tan paint. The colors are vivid and matte in texture. The Luftwaffe decal is beautifully ghosting just under the paint with a nice shadow. Light scuffs and marks spread evenly on the helmet's exterior give it a nice combat look. The helmet's interior is untouched and undisturbed. The interior skirt is nicely sprayed in tan paint getting on the liner and band. It also created a shadow along the chinstrap area. The leather is in very nice condition and still tied together with its drawstring. Ink stamped along one of the tongues « 58 » and with a name in ink faintly present. Chinstrap is in very good condition and is an unmarked type. On the photos below, it is shown with a matching tan/water camouflage field division jacket, the perfect combination. A very desirable spray camouflage helmet. Choice.
