M42 Waffen-SS single decal combat helmet, « EF66 »
Description
A very nice M1942 Waffen-SS single decal combat helmet. The helmet is an « EF66 » with a lot number of « 35893 ». This helmets was found in the Belgian Ardennes many years ago and remained in an old collection until recently. The helmet's exterior retains over 90% of its factory feldgrau paint finish. A normal amount of wear to include some scuffs and scrapes. Typical wear around the rim. Classic « EF » Waffen-SS decal is present and rates in at approximately 96% with some light general wear. The decal has a nice and true tone with some light even wear. Split pins are complete and tightly still secured to the liner. The helmet's interior remains complete. Leather liner shows use and evidence of being used. Ink stamped along the tip of one of the tongues with the size « 58 ». Drawstring intact. Leather chinstrap complete and unmarked. The helmet was slightly cleaned and greased by the former collector some years ago. Overall a true and very nice field used Waffen-SS combat helmet.
