M42 Waffen-SS single decal combat helmet, « untouched / as-found »
Description
A very nice M1942 Waffen-SS single decal combat helmet. The helmet is a classic late-war skirt marked « ckl66 » with a lot number of « 3012 ». Only just recently found and never before in a collection from a great colleague of ours. The helmet's exterior features the factory late-war slate grey finish. The SS decal is over 95% with beautiful toning and shows combat scuffs and scrapes. In general the exterior shows some combat wear overall. Split pins are complete, retain all their factory finish and are still tightly attached to the helmet's liner system. The interior of the helmet is in its original state and undisturbed. Leather liner is present and in great condition. Complete with its original drawstring. The chinstrap is original to the helmet and in full length, maker marked and dated. Dust, dirt and natural debris from decades of accumulation is present. A choice untouched late-war as-found Waffen-SS single decal combat helmet!
