A mid-war Heer enlisted man's Panzer black overseas service cap. Factory produced example of an early vintage. Black finer quality black wool. Classic factory hand applied black « BeVo » eagle and machine straight stitched green « BeVo » cockade. Body shows some light nap wear. Some dirt and natural wear along the perimeter. Soiling and age toning overall give this Panzer overseas cap an exceptional look. Perfect to fit with a matching wrapper. Interior is lined in the same light grey lining seen on early wrappers, it is sized « 56 ». Former owner’s initials are present and marked in dark ink « P.F. ». Period safety pin applied along the top to give the overseas cap a more snug fit. Verdigris is present but should be left alone and untouched. One of the hardest and most desirable examples we have offered.
