Very nice privately made Waffen-SS black Panzer trousers, constructed of issue quality black wool and corresponding in almost every detail to SS contract made examples. The trousers feature a plain grey cotton interior lining, a type of fabric frequently used for the lining of contract-manufactured Waffen-SS garments. They are fitted with two flapped hip pockets and a rear pocket, also with a flap. Each front pocket flap is secured by two buttons, while the rear pocket has a single button. The exterior waistband features several belt loops, while each side of the hips is fitted with a wool adjustment tab secured by a black-painted metal buckle. The seat is reinforced. The lower ends of the legs feature black ribbed cotton cuff pieces, each secured by a button. The trousers bear no markings or labels. They have seen only light wear and show no deterioration of the fabric. A particularly interesting piece for the collector of German militaria, distinguished by its high-quality private manufacture and its remarkable conformity to Waffen-SS contract-manufactured patterns.
