Rare German flare pistol tree spike, « 1943 »

Description
This is a very rare German false pistol tree spike « Einspannvornrichtung », it comes with its original carrying bag that is in bad condition. The spike in overall very good condition, marked with the maker’s logo, the date « 1943 » and Waffenamt. The purpose of this device was to hold the pistol firmly in order to fire a special 26.5 mm ammunition called « Patrone für messzwecke », better known as « Messpatrone », from a distance, using a cord attached to the trigger, used for adjusting artillery fire, mainly during maneuvers. It was indeed forbidden to fire this cartridge with a free arm due to the danger generated by its very strong recoil and the fallout of lead fragments.
