Description

The last type of late-war canteen produced. A very rare and extremely desirable example. Coconut body but produced in 1943. Properly marked along the middle back with the maker and year. Retaining a rare simplified two-tone green web strap system. Only three adjustable buttonhole holes that are factory stitched in a lighter green thread. Metal hardware is left-over early stock. Leather strap ink stamped with marker and date  « HRE45 ». The rare aluminum « HRE 45 » dated canteen cup in excellent condition. One if not the most rarest and highly sought after complete canteen sets. Unique and special offering.
