Second pattern Waffen-SS helmet cover, « plane tree overprint »
Description
A nice second pattern Waffen-SS helmet cover. It was recently found in Germany. It is produced in oak leaf and plane tree overprint material. The cover is in overall very good condition showing some light wear, unfortunately one side was damaged by a mouse. The colors are extremely vivid and crisp. It retains all of its originally sewn loops. The cover shows all the features a textbook piece should have. All anodized aluminum clips are present, springs are not functional. The cover is a size « 1 », for the pictures it was displayed on a M35 shell in size 60. Overall a choice and desirable example.
