WWII U.S. Army issued softball players mitt, manufactured from light brown leather. Nicely embossed with the manufactures name « WILSON » a prolific maker of sporting goods in America at the time and even to this day. This mitt shows use and normal scrapes, scratches, and staining from gameplay. One leather cord is broken can be replaced but should be left untouched. Nicely dated « JUNE 1945 » and stamped for « SOFT BALL » as apposed to a baseball mitt. Hard to find accessory and highly collectible in its own right.
